PE KIT
All children are expected to take part in all PE/Games lessons as part of the National Curriculum. All kit should be kept in a named PE bag. PE kit should be kept in school at all times although it will be sent home for washing periodically.

Reception

Initially, your child will only need a pair of navy tracksuit trousers (sweatshirt fabric) with an elasticated ankle cuff (so they don’t flap about when we do P.E.).  Navy shorts and a white t-shirt will be required in the summer term. They will not need trainers or plimsolls in Reception and do not require trainers until the summer term of Year 1. Your child will need a drawstring P.E. bag with the kit inside. If you could help your child practice changing into the kit and especially shoes and socks that would really help us!

Years 1 - 6

White t-shirt and navy shorts are required for indoor PE.
Trainers (not plimsols) are worn in addition for outside PE
Blue tracksuit bottoms for cooler weather.
Football boots may be worn for certain activities.

Lost Uniform

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE label all clothes, shoes, coats, glovers, scarves etc! Whilst this doesn't guarantee recovery, it does make it much more likely.

Named clothing found will be returned to your child's class periodically. Any un-named lost property is placed in the lost property chest in the foyer outside the school office. Unclaimed items will be donated to the PTFA clothing sale at the end of each half term.

Hair and Jewellery

Long hair needs to be tied up. Large hair decorations must not be worn in school.

One small ear stud per ear is allowed. For Health and Safety reasons, these need to be covered with tape for PE lessons or ideally removed and replaced by your child. No other item of jewellery should be worn in school. e.g. necklaces, bracelets, rings. A watch may be worn although will need to be removed for PE.
