Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) Consultation
Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
Our ‘Coffee and Cake’ session on 7th February was the first step towards us sharing what and how we teach RSE. Every year, we review our RSE policy and this year we are asking you to read it and contribute your thoughts.
From September 2020 the DfE has introduced new statutory requirements for PSHE. Our current RSE policy and approach meets these expectations and we have worked with guidance from the Diocese, Church of England, the PSE Association and our Trust, as we reviewed it this term.
The draft policy is available below for you to investigate until the end of this term (27th March).
Should you wish to comment and express your thoughts about the policy, we would like you to email these to the governors at: SMiPA.firstname.lastname@example.org
The governors will then consider our proposals and your comments before finalising our policy in the Summer term. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact either Mrs Leach or Mrs Eatherington (PSHE subject leader).
