Who are we and what do we do?
The PTFA is the “Parents, Teachers and Friends Association”. We are a group of parents, grandparents, staff (teaching and non teaching) and friends of the school who organise social and fund raising events throughout the year to rise money to directly aid the pupils of the school. In previous years this has included:
-
Quiz nights
-
Pamper night
-
2nd hand uniform sales
-
Cake sales
-
Children's bedtime story event
-
Colouring competition
-
Christmas Cards - designed by the children
-
Christmas Shopping Evening
-
Christmas Chocolate Bingo
-
Christmas Carol Singing and woodland bonfire
All parents, teachers and friends of the school are, by definition, members of our PTFA, although the association is organised by committee, which is voted in at the AGM (Annual General Meeting) each year.
2020-21
This year we are reaching out for help.
To support our fundraising efforts we would love you to get in touch if you can help us with any of the following:
- Website help - we want to set up an online uniform shop - can you help us?
- Interested in running a virtual masterclass for us? Drawing, Painting, Cocktail making, Christmas cake decorating? - share your skills and help us to raise funds for our school
- Time - we know it's precious but we're looking for help in coordinating our class reps via WhatsApp, Facebook or in person
- Join the Committee - like to be more involved? Our AGM is in October and you could stand for Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary or Treasurer - Get in touch if you'd like to join!
Thank you

2020 - What are we fundraising for?
We are continuing to support the school in their bid to purchase a YURT. We are also supporting smaller projects as requested by the school such as purchasing a compost caddy for each class. In addition, £2100 (£5 per child) is provided to support the learning of the children, which the teachers can use to put towards the cost of school trips or other learning resources.
