Policies

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office.  Admissions policies are listed under Key Information - Admissions.

Anti-Bullying Statement – Autumn 2019

All members of the St Michael’s community are entitled to work and play in a safe, secure environment, where they are happy and motivated to learn. Towards this aim we believe:

Everybody at St Michael’s C of E Academy has the right to enjoy school life – feeling happy and free of fear of any form of intimidation.
Wherever possible, reported instances of bullying will be investigated promptly, and dealt with seriously.
The school community will not tolerate unkind actions or remarks, even if not intended to hurt or offend.
Individuals should support each other by reporting instances of bullying.
The guidelines for behaviour at St Michael’s are based on the principles of positivity and restorative justice. We believe that children learn best when they are calm, safe and focussed, and good behaviour is a critical element towards creating these conditions.
