St Michael's Academy - Dragon street design

Dear Parent/Guardian

We have been working with Sustrans, the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle, to develop ideas for improving the roads around the school, to make it easier to walk and cycle to school. The project has been funded by Devon County Council Access Fund (Department for Transport Funding) and the Road Safety Trust.

Sustrans has held a number of workshops and a street trial event with our school looking at: how street design can impact on our travel choices; what could be improved along the road outside the school and what infrastructure proposals would work best. The ideas from these workshops have informed designs to improve the road directly outside the school to make it easier for people to walk and cycle.

As parents/guardians we would really like to hear your feedback on the designs, as they are now nearing completion.
