Elephants & Gorillas (Year 3)

Teachers: Mrs Baker, Mrs Eatherington, Miss Marshall & Mrs Durkin

Teaching Assistants: Mrs Edwards

The Gorillas and Elephants have been learning about team building!

They had to build the tallest tower possible using spaghetti and jelly babies…

We learned that it was important to listen to each other, encourage and praise each other and take responsibility for our role in the team.

Year 3 had a fantastic time visiting Smeaton’s Tower on Wednesday!

We enjoyed walking along Plymouth Hoe and observing the sea with its dangerous rocks and potential hazards. The children had opportunities to sketch the Harbour and look carefully at boats on the water. This of course will support our Ocean Wave art project.

The children enjoyed drawing the Lighthouse and walking around its perimeters.

It was an incredible experience to go inside Smeaton’s Tower and climb the steep ladders to the top. What brave children! There are a few pictures below and more in the Gallery.
