THE AUTUMN TERM IN YEAR 4:

The first half of term:

Our main topic for the first half of term is science based and called “Sound”. You can view the overview of learning here.

Getting started:

We launched our topic for this half term by watching this video. We were all really excited about the chance to create and play our own bottle instruments, but there would be a lot of learning to get through first!!

The second half of term:

Our main topic for the second half of term is history based and called “The Romans”. You can view the overview of learning here.

Getting started:

We launched our topic for this half term by visiting the amazing Roman baths in Bath. It was a long day, but definitely worth the visit. During the day we were able to handle genuine Roman artefacts; see the Great Bath, Temple courtyard, the hypocaust and the statue of Sulis Minerva (Roman Goddess); and some of us even managed to chat with a wealthy Roman lady and her slave!

THE SPRING TERM IN YEAR 4:

The first half of term:

Our main topic for the first half of term is technology based and called “Choco-doodle-doo”. You can view the overview of learning here.
