News from 2014/15
We started the year by looking toys, focusing on a story about a robot who lost his bottom!
We went on to learn about Dragon's where we enjoyed making our own Dragon posters! This lead us into Christmas when we enjoyed performing a nativity!
After Christmas we learnt about stars which linked to the epiphany. We loved learning about stories from other countries, especially the story of the Chinese New Year, and the runaway chapati. Recently we have been learning about Easter, and new life.
Review of the Year - We began the year learning about how toys have changed over time. We especially enjoyed the story of No-bot, the robot who lost his bottom! We went on to learn about Heavitree. Did you know that Robinsons News used to be a Bakery? We enjoyed learning about the Epiphany, When the Three Wise Men visited Jesus. This led us into learning about the Chinese New Year, and dragons! We used beautiful words to describe different types of dragons. We then went on to learn about habitats. We visited Stover Country Park, where we had a great day out pond dipping and exploring the woodland. Recently we have learned about rivers, and why water is precious. We have loved exploring our 'water world', and learning about Dr John Snow, who is famous for discovering the link between dirty water and cholera.
